FASH Horse Show 2012

After a long day touring around the Shepherd's Harvest in Lake Elmo, we headed over to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds to check out the FASH Horse Show. This horse show features American Saddlebreds, Morgans and Hackney horses and ponies. Usually lots of seats available to watch the horses and people and it is FREE.

Why a photoblog?

Welcome to my photoblog -- I hope to share images, tips and more. If there are things you want to see or learn, please let me know!

What is a photoblog?
I am hoping this will be a "photo web log" or photoblog that showcases some of my images as well as what happens behind the scenes, and some of bloopers too. (Note to self, don't delete all the bloopers.) 

Why a photoblog?
I'm not looking to get rich from posting these images -- but of course if that happens, I'm good with that too! Here's what I would like to get out of this blog.

• Motivation - I want to keep making images, process the images I have (including the boxes from the film era), to improve my craft. 
• Networking - I like to see other people's images and hopefully this will help people visit to see some of mine. Are you starting out in photography? I want to help you, get in touch.
• Learning - I want to continue improving my shots and editing. I want to see what other people have out there and learn from them too. I also hope that people stopping past to look will comment and share too -- it is a great way to see someone else's perspective. 
• A Picture is with 1,000 words - that seems like a great plan, and there is less writing and more images and videos that way.
• Comments / Constructive Criticism - I'm hoping visitors will comment, including those that hate and don't appreciate -- all will likely help me get going on the right path.
• Reinvention - As a former fast-tracker that is now considered too old, redundant, too expensive, too female, too qualified, now is the time to change paths and take a new journey. I've been fortunate so far to sell some images, art, video and marketing work and am looking forward to what happens next.
